FAQ

  • Are you actually brothers?

Damn straight! There’s actually almost five years between us, can you guess who’s older?

  • What material do you use to stop the plastic sticking to the heat press?

This is probably one of the most commonly asked questions on our channel. They’re called teflon baking sheets, and they’re awesome.

  • Do you buy virgin plastic if you don’t have enough of the right colour?

Absolutely not. 100% of our plastic that we use is post-consumer waste that could have potentially ended up in landfill or in our oceans. There’s plenty of it out there, so if we ever get to a point that we’re running out, that’ll be a lovely problem to have!

  • What other types of tools and equipment do i need to set up a workshop just like yours?

We are UK Brand Ambassadors for Triton Tools and we love their stuff! Woodworking tools work great for plastic work, so you’ll see us using our bright orange tools in all of our videos.

  • Doesn’t all the energy used in recycling plastics outweigh the benefits?

For some energy-intensive processes, there’s a chance that this could be true, but it can only really be calculated on a case by case basis. However, to be as efficient as possible, we always go with low-temperature melting, using energy that is generated by 100% renewables.

  • What gloves do you use when handling hot plastic?

We’ve tried many, many pairs in our time and have found that these silicone oven mitts are the best. For those who are particularly heat sensitive, you can also wear an additional pair of thin nylon gloves underneath these.
